Toy Truck collects both toys and money to support thousands of local children connected to Porter-Leath. Over 2,000 children will receive a gift through Toy Truck during the holiday season. Gifts come from individuals, corporate groups, civic organizations, and groups of friends who simply want to ensure that every child in our area has a meaningful holiday gift. Collection boxes are a great way to involve the entire office in supporting local children and families.
Monetary Gifts
All money collected during Toy Truck is matched dollar-for-dollar by our Secret Santa, which usually results in over $100,000 in support after the match. Monetary gifts are a perfect way to avoid the hustle and bustle of shopping crowds and are very helpful to Porter-Leath in that we can buy toys where toy donations are not enough to meet the need. Toy Donations
The biggest need for toys is for our 2,000 preschool students. These children are all local, so your donation stays in the area. Toys should be new and unwrapped, as well as age-appropriate for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old. We do ask that you refrain from donation stuffed animals, toys with small parts like Hot Wheels, toy weapons, and games that include play money or dice.
